I am a scientist at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a member of the Nevada Extreme Conditions Laboratory.
My background is in high pressure – high temperature experiments in the diamond anvil cell with a focus on the electronic, chemical, and vibrational properties of compounds spanning minerals, binary semiconductors, and ceramics, as well as the design of optical instruments to facilitate such experiments.
Most recently, I have studied the chemistry of room-temperature superconductor C-S-H, elusive phases and transitions in water ice, and germanates at conditions relevant to planetary interiors.
