I am a postdoctoral researcher from the UK, currently working at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as a member of the Salamat Lab and the multidisciplinary High Pressure Science & Engineering Center.

My background is in high pressure – high temperature experiments in a diamond anvil cell, and my postdoctoral research has concerned the implementation of carbon dioxide lasers alongside in situ Raman spectroscopy, synchrotron XRD, and recently XAS, to study the phase behaviours of minerals, semiconductors, and ceramics. Specific focuses include the electronic and vibrational properties of nitrides, oxides and sulphides, with collaboration with theoreticians to guide the understanding of their chemistry.

Most recently, I have studied in-depth the anion disordering of high-pressure tin dioxide, a giant volume collapse in manganese disulphide, and the unique chemistry of the semiconductor tin nitride.
